Mr. Reuben Mwaluma is a Telecommunications Engineer by Training and worked for the defunct Kenya Post and Telecommunications Corporation of Kenya in various Management Capacities until his retirement. Reuben Mwaluma joined MAZIDO Board in the year 2014 as an ordinary member. He has risen in rank and file to become the second Board Chairperson following the death in 2016 of the Founding member and long serving Board Chairperson, the Late Mrs. Margaret Mwangola, HSC, MBS. Mr. Mwaluma brings into the Board many years of managerial and corporate governance experience earned in his years as a senior Manager in Telecoms.
Mrs. Ada Owiti joined the Board of Directors in 2016 following a vacancy in the Board after the demise of MAZIDO founding member and first Chairperson to the Board. Mrs. Owiti is the Director, Social Pillars, Kenya Vision 2030 Secretariat and is a Corporate Governance expert. She holds a Masters of Philosophy degree in Development Studies from IDS University of Sussex, UK and M.A in Sociology/Industrial relations from Nagpur University, India. Mrs. Owiti brings in vital Corporate Governance skills into the Board of Directors. She has also served in various Boards, the most recent being Kenya Water and Health Organization (KWAHO), a National NGO
Mr. Alfred Mwadime Mlolwa is among the long serving Directors, having joined MAZIDO in 2007 as a Board Member. Mr. Mlolwa is a Graduate Teacher, former Head Teacher and Chairman of Taita Taveta Teachers (QWETU) Sacco. Mr. Mlolwa is also a Director of The Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Organizations (KUSCO) and current chair of Taita Taveta County Public Service Board. Mr. Mwadime brings invaluable Financial and Organizational Management experience into the board. He was appointed Treasurer in 2013.
Mr. John Mlamba joined MAZIDO in 2007 as the Chief Executive Officer and Secretary to the Board. Mr. Mlamba Holds a BSc. Degree from Moi University and has undergone several professional courses among them Leadership and Governance, Lobby and advocacy and MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning). Mr. Mlamba also worked as the Executive Coordinator of Taita Taveta Wildlife Forum from 2010-2013. He brings in invaluable experience in organization management, Project/Programs Management and Natural Resource Management and Governance.
Mrs. Emily Kituri, joined the Board in 2010. She is an educationist and holder of Bachelor degree in Education, she currently works with the Ministry of Education as ECD Sub County Officer. With her education background, Mrs. kituri is instrumental in providing expertise during the development of IEC materials for the Programmes.
Mr. Mwashimba is a Civil Engineer with overseas training. He is also an NCA approved Contractor the Managing Director, LEMA Construction Company LTD. and brings in the much-needed expertise on civil works in MAZIDO programs. He joined MAZIDO in 2007.
Mrs. Mtongolo is a retired social worker. She is a business woman with interests in Mining. Mrs. Mtongolo has a deep understanding of the natural resource landscape and brings in the much-needed understanding of the same into the Board. She joined MAZIDO Board in 2007.
Mr. Mwanyika is a retired Probations Officer and joined MAZIDO Board in 2007. He brings into the Board many years of Institutional Management experience.
Mr. Mwarashu is a retired civil servant, having served for many years as a Senior Chief. He brings in people management skills and public administration expertise to the Board. Mr. Mwarashu has served as Board treasurer between 2007 and 2013. He joined MAZIDO Board in 2007.
