MAZIDO Meeting With Mbulia Community Executive

MAZIDO International held a meeting with Mbulia Community representatives at its main office in Voi. The team of seven sought consultancy services on moving the community toward economic empowerment. The meeting was chaired by John Mlamba (County Director in charge of climate change and outgoing Executive Director of MAZIDO) and Rhoda Mwashigadi, a permanent consultant at MAZIDO.

Mbulia Community land spans 37,000 acres with a membership of 6,000, registered as community land with a Title Deed issued. The community identified priorities to work on: a strategic plan to guide them, a land use plan, a tourism centre with facilities, dairy units, a conservancy, agroforestry, mining, settlement schemes for members, and climate-smart agriculture. MAZIDO and the Mbulia community will sign a memorandum to guide operations during the consultancy period.
